For whom?

Our selection group is for dedicated dancers who love to grow, shine and perform. Does this sound like you?

You have dance experience and are between 11 and 17 years old
Streetjazz is totally your style
You are motivated and give one hundred percent every week
You love performing and feel at home on stage

About our selection

Our selection consists of talented dancers with a strong passion for dance. We train intensively, work deeply on choreography and prepare throughout the year for performances. The selection is the first group to represent The Danskwartier at events and shows.

In addition to the selection training you attend at least one regular class each week to continue developing technique, strength and artistry.

Every season we reassess the group. We look at dance quality, presence, motivation and availability for performances.

We expect professionalism, enthusiasm and responsibility. Together we create something beautiful.

Rules & expatations

You attend every class (Thursday 18.15 to 19.15)
Only cancel in advance and with a valid reason
Be on time
If you are absent too often without a good reason, you may be removed from the selection
If you miss a rehearsal or choreography, you are responsible for catching up on the material
Alongside the selection training you follow at least one additional regular class
We expect full commitment and motivation

Please note: Only audition if you can commit to the competition rules. This is not a regular lesson, we are stricter on attendance and expect 100% commitment and motivation.

During the audition we pay attention to dance technique, appearance and commitment.

Please keep in mind that it’s possible you may not be selected for the team. Prepare yourself mentally for this and approach the audition as a fun and valuable workshop where you can show what you’ve got.
